"Back to my job at the cemetery, in "Le Palais Noir" I wanted to express what people can't see (and almost nobody knows) when we quarter bodies so we can put them in smaller places.
We take whatever heavy and sharp enough to break into skin and shatter bones, usually a long spike that we hit towards the body lying on the floor.
Visually looks like some kind of medieval torture, the work of an executioner, and that's why I called this song "Le Palais Noir", because there's always a dark side covered by the elegance of funerals."
